  • Russell has spent the last 10 years advising sports clubs and athletes working in Football, Sports Tech & Data, eSports, NFTs, Web3 and Gaming.

    Experienced in on and offline sports marketing marketing, Russell leads our Sports for Good programme.

  • Alicia will be leading our expansion into this section and will be responsible for our growth and customer services delivery globally. Having spent the last 10 years driving growth for multiple Saas companies, Alicia is perfect for this role.

  • Haley has over 20 years’ B2B and B2C marketing agency experience, delivering creative, integrated and strategic demand campaigns. Haley leads our SDG partner development efforts.

  • Former Binance NFT Director, sports, entertainment and brand crypto thought leader, Ryan brings invaluable insights to our team.

    His strategic vision and industry expertise will play a pivotal role in advancing CLEO’s mission to revolutionize the digital assets landscape.

  • Karl is the Group Chief Digital & Information Officer for the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), formally CIO at Save the Children UK, and is a strategic advisor to Cleo.

Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve

  • With our partner Eden Reforestation Projects, we plant 50% of trees across the world in Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar and Mozambique. One of the projects in Madagascar plant over 2 million mangroves per month! The other 50% will be planted in Nepal which is one of the least developed countries in the world with many communities depending on the natural environment for food, shelter, and income.

Second Life Ocean Plastic Recovery and Recycling

  • Up to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic enters our oceans every year. It escapes from landfill sites, floats down our drains, ends up in rivers and makes its way into our oceans. The Second Life project focuses on islands and ocean biodiversity hotspots where plastic waste management is underdeveloped. To date, they have removed over 2,389,000 kgs of ocean-bound plastic since January 2020 and are the world’s very first Verra-certified plastic recovery and recycling project. Not only does the project ensure all collected ocean plastic finds its way back into the supply chain, they also work with the most vulnerable members of the community, where waste collection and recycling is a valuable source of income.

  • Their Approach

    Recover: Incentivise the recovery and transportation of ocean and ocean-bound waste by local communities and informal collectors.

    Recycle: Identify and invest in local recycling initiatives to process all types of recovered waste, including non-recyclable plastics.

    Reinforce: Go beyond the supply chain with community engagement, stakeholder consultation, tracing and monitoring activities.

Cleo’S ESG Advisory Board

At Cleo, we’re working towards more great things beyond our marketing for good initiative. In support of our roadmap, we’ve set up an Advisory Board of sustainability experts to help us research and select the projects we want to support.

In addition, we’re putting 5% of our annual revenues into the Cleo DAO, which funds our ongoing involvement in initiatives that give back to our planet. Those initiatives can be voted on by anyone holding the $CLEO token.

Finally, another portion of our revenue goes into ensuring we’re a carbon net zero business.
